Two-day Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit wraps-up in Yokohama, attended by world leaders; US President Barack Obama meets Russia's Dmitriy Medvedev today

Nobel Peace laureates gathered in Hiroshima expected to announce a declaration that urges for "a world without nuclear weapons" at the closing ceremony of the Peace Summit.

Japan:

Taiwan's APEC delegation holds a news conference (0730) before taking a flight back.

China: 

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, India's S. M. Krishna, China's Yang Jiechi attend 10th meeting of Russian, Indian and Chinese foreign ministers in Wuhan, capital city of central China's Hubei Province; previous such meeting held in India in October 2009 

Thailand: 

Opposition Red Shirt protesters from United Front For Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) rally for second day in Bangkok to mark six months since shooting of rogue Maj-Gen Khattiya Sawasdipol; he was shot in May as he backed anti-government protesters in Bangkok

India:

Russia:

Russia: 

Rally held in Zhukovskiy, outside Moscow, in protest against plans to cut down parts of local forest; earlier, public outcry halted plans to build motorway through Khimki Forest, also near Moscow, which was seen as major climb-down by Kremlin

Nigeria:

Nigeria's military told “law-abiding citizens” to immediately leave the Delta region as it threatened to carry out raids against camps of criminal gangs. Chief of Defence Staff Oluseyi Petinrin stated that militant criminal acts in the camps raised concerns and will no longer be tolerated.

Guinea: 

Tentative date for Independent Electoral Commission to announce provisional results from presidential run-off held on 7 November 

Ukraine: 

International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission continues visit to discuss first review of stand-by loan programme (-15) 

Greece:

Second round of municipal and regional elections.

France:

Following as French Prime Minister Francois Fillon and his government resigned ahead of a long-planned Cabinet reshuffle. President Nicolas Sarkozy accepted the resignation and will announce new cabinet today or tomorrow.

UN:

World Diabetes Day.
